Joy was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC and was called into ministry while attending East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She was a missionary intern for 5 years and was stationed in Sacramento, CA and the United Kingdom. Joy is passionate about communications and creative mediums to share the gospel of Jesus. She also has a heart for missions and desires that everyone goes on a short term missions trip at least once in their life. Joy and Pastor Steve met shortly after she returned from a missionary assignment in Northern Ireland. He was the young adults pastor of the church she was attending and their friendship quickly grew into more. They believe they are truly BETTER TOGETHER in life and ministry.
Joy serves as the Director of Communications and Events for the NC Assemblies of God located in Raleigh. She is a Licensed Minister with the Assemblies of God. Joy also volunteers time as our First Impressions and Communications Pastor at Living Water. Her greatest assignment is being a mother to her 3 beautiful children.
